TwitterArtExhibit in The Artshouse

This year I wanted to participate in the charity sale organised by TwitterArtExhibit in the UK, of which David Sandum is the founder, “Through art we can change the world”.

TwitterArtExhibit utilizes social media and public engagement to generate income for charities and nonprofit organizations. In the past, #TwitterArtExhibit has generated funds for a library suffering from deep funding cuts to purchase much-needed children’s books, for an abused women’s shelter seeking to improve the lives of the families they serve, and for an arts organization mentoring underprivileged young adults in preparation for careers in the visual arts.

This year the charity art exhibit will benefit Molly Ollys Wishes. Molly Olly’s support children with terminal and life threatening illnesses across the UK by providing wishes and therapeutic toys and books! Artists from all over the world have participated by donating their piece of art the size of a postcard. The details of the artist are being displayed together with the donated art piece so that the buyer has an oppertunity to contact the artist after purchase. 100% of proceeds will go to the charity.

They displayed my original Tortoiseshell Butterfly watercolorpainting in The Artshouse in Stratford upon Avon allong with art from great artists from all over the world! The opening of the exhibit was on the 1st of April which was a huge succes! My card has already been sold and the exhibit is now closed.

Next years TwitterArtExhibit will be held in Australia, so if you would like to participate you can subscribe and stay updated via their website.

Ps: If you like the tortoiseshell butterfly I have a postcard available in my Etsy shop.
